We would like to inform you that EyeQ Menlyn Inc has concluded a sale of our practice in Menlyn Park Shopping Centre, in terms of which our practice, known as EyeQ Menlyn, will be taken over by the management of Eyecatchers Optometrists.
We have taken this decision as a measure to consolidate our operations in the Western Cape as result of the challenges that have recently arisen, as a result of the Covid pandemic. EyeQ Optometrists have a long a cooperative relationship with the Eyecatchers group who have both their head office and dedicated laboratory services within Pretoria, and we are confident that they will be able to take care of all your Optometric needs in the same competent, professional and friendly manner their group is known for.
Our transaction is planned to take place as from 15 November 2021 and intends to include the transfer of the practice database for your continued service, but which contains your personal and optometry related information.
As envisaged in the Protection of Personal Information Act, Act 4 of 2013, in the event that you wish not to have your data transferred, we respectfully request that you please communicate this in writing to us on adminmp@eyeq.co.za within 7 days of receipt of this notification. Upon receipt of a written notice from you, your personal information will be removed from the database for transfer.
Should we not receive any written objection, it will be considered that you have consented to the transfer of your personal and optometric information to Eyecatchers Optometrists.
It is with mixed emotions that we are bringing you this announcement, and we would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your support over the years.
