EyeQ stocks Acuvue Contact Lenses

EyeQ stocks Acuvue Contact Lenses

As many of you know, not long ago Johnson & Johnson Vision Care pulled out of the country causing a nationwide shortage of South Africa’s long preferred Acuvue contact lenses. The withdrawal was originally cited as being because of “operational and logistics challenges” and led to Johnson & Johnson Vision Care pulling out from all Sub Saharan territories which of course includes South Africa.

While this happened back in March this year, since then our customers have been forced to look into alternative contact lens brands to replace the once prominent Acuvue. There are current rumours however that Johnson & Johnson Vision Care may be looking for a local agent to become the appointed distributor again which hails a possible return of South Africa’s favourite contact lenses. However (even if this does happen), we will only see the return at the earliest in September later this year.

EyeQ Gets Its Hands On Acuvue Stock

In the interim, we at EyeQ have gone out of our way to secure stock of the most “in-demand” Acuvue contact lenses. So it is with great pride that we announce a limited stock availability of the following contact lens powers:

• Acuvue 1-Day Moist in minus and plus powers in both base curves (8.5 and 9.0)
• Acuvue Oasys 2-Weekly in minus and Plus powers in both base curves (8.4 and 8.8)

This stock is limited – so in order to ensure you have your favourite contact lenses until such time as Johnson & Johnson Vision Care returns, we suggest you head down to your local EyeQ store now and make your order.

Unfortunately we could not get all products in stock, so just as a heads up; the following stock will not be available:

• Acuvue 1-Day Moist for Astigmatism
• Acuvue Oasys for Astigmatism
